A popular trend is for couples who want a metalsmith to guide them (sharing knowledge & facilities) through the process of making their own wedding bands.

What could be more meaningful than this? Create each others' wedding rings with your own hands, in the course of a few hours. We will help you choose and order appropriate materials, or sometimes we even even help you melt down your old pieces of jewelry to make a brand new ring for you and your partner. We will guide you step by step through the process.

Lesson Details
Each lesson typically lasts about 4 hours, with a rate of $150 per hour, plus the cost of materials.

Material Costs
The average cost of gold for a ring ranges from $600–$800, depending on the size and style.

To Begin

1. Choose your style – for example, a plain band, profiled edge, or decorative design.

2. Select your metal – such as sterling silver, 14K yellow gold, or 18K rose gold.

3. Provide your ring size – so I can estimate the cost of materials.

Once you’ve made your selections, I’ll confirm the total material cost. To reserve your lesson date, a $95 deposit plus the materials fee will be required.

• It’s best to schedule your lesson at least 8 weeks in advance, or earlier if possible.
